Frizelle’s Jaguar, Land Rover & Audi Dealerships in Springwood

Client: GMP Management

GMP Management has been appointed the Project and Cost Manager for the construction of two new luxury car dealerships at Springwood: Jaguar/Land Rover and Audi.

Each dealership comprises basement car parking, large showroom, complete workshop facilities, car wash, customer lounge, handover area, mezzanine level, offices and amenities.

The project is currently under construction with an anticipated completion date of August/September 2015.

MDA were commissioned to provide the scope of services for Mechanical Ventilation and Air Conditioning along with Electrical, Hydraulic, Fire and Lift services. A BCA Section J Energy Compliance Review and Certification was also required.

Additionally, MDA attended Design and Project Control Group meetings; prepared documentation in accordance with the agreed programme; made recommendations on locations for major infrastructure such as substations, switchboards and air-conditioning systems. We provided space planning requirements and commenced negotiations with supply authorities.

RPEQ Design Certificates were supplied and MDA reviewed code compliance requirements for issues such as Fire Services and Building Safety Equipment. Services Design Calculations and System Modelling were carried out to establish capacity requirements and system selections.

As well as providing Building Approval Documentation and RPEQ Design Certification, MDA also designed documentation of the required services to each building services element for the purpose of obtaining competitive tender. We completed services specification to advised format. Construction services included review of shop drawings and responses to construction correspondence with attendance at up to 8 quality control inspections as required to suit construction milestones.
